15.25m
High Latitude Cruiser
An "off road" ocean going 4x4 1993/4 design. Construction,
in aluminium, is in excess of Lloyds scantling rules, where
in particular the shell plating thickness requirements have
been exceeded. There are four watertight bulkheads (each side
of the engine room, collision B/H, and Lazarette B/H). For the
high latitudes, the boat has an interior steering and watchkeeping
station. The hull and deck insulation is extra thick.
The
load carrying cababilities are unusually good. She carries
1200 litres of fuel and water respectively, in 4 tanks.
She
has twin 33 KW Yanmar engines, through saildrive units, and
twin spade rudders, providing "remote area" redundancy.
She has proved to be fast and able in every way. The interior
layout is for four couples in private cabins.
